The Beet Ring: A Burmese Star Ruby Wedding Set
A two-piece 18k white gold wedding set with beet-leaf shoulders around a Burmese star ruby.

Greg wanted a ring designed with his fiancée, Barbara, in mind. The result is a two-piece set in 18k white gold whose shoulders are carved as beet leaves, holding a Burmese star ruby.
The design began as sketches, became a series of waxes and was carved at the bench until the leaves curled around the stone, then was cast, set and finished.
He proposed on the corner where they had first kissed. She said yes, and found the beet idea daring, and exactly what she would want.
