The Deco Nude Ruby Ring

Sue's ring sets rubies cut from rough, with a band of white in the stone kept as a deliberate inclusion, between two sculpted figures, one for each side.

To make the figures, a second wax the same size as the ring was carved, roughed out, cut from its base and completed before casting. Once cast they were fitted into the ring, then the ring and the white gold end caps were cast in turn.

It was not an easy piece, and the photographs record a careful comparison of both rings before shipment.
