A Twenty-One-Carat Imperial Topaz Wolf Ring
An 18k wolf ring carved by hand around an untreated 17 x 14 mm emerald-cut imperial topaz of more than 21 carats.

The starting point was the stone. After weeks of searching, the house hand-selected an untreated emerald-cut imperial topaz, 17 x 14 mm and more than 21 carats, as the best fit for the client's brief.
The ring was then made to fit it, beginning with a block of wax. Carol sawed, carved and measured until the wolves stood in relief along the shoulders, a process of patience rather than speed.
The finished wax was cast in newly refined 18k, never scrap, then given countless hours of hand sanding, stone setting and a hand finish no machine can duplicate.
