Heirloom Earrings for Mayumi

Mayumi designed these earrings around a family heirloom: a pair of antique tortoiseshell and gold earrings.

Carol made them in 18k with diamonds, pearls and glacier blue topaz, building individual settings and soldering them into rosettes. Sapphire and glacier blue topaz were each tried before the final choice, and the tortoiseshell drops were brought into the new design.
